Its not at all a Colt. Its a reverse engineered copy of a classic design made by the Chi-com army's manufacturing arm, Northern Industries Inc.
If the Chi-coms reverse engineered the Chrysler PT Cruiser and called it the NP Kruser, it is still not a PT Cruiser.
Its just a couple of bucks closer to their very own aircraft carrier.

I'll give you one thing, its not a colt woodsman. However, it is NOT junk. I have thousands of rounds through mine, NO problems. Its nice to have the option of something affordable, not all of us can afford to spend crazy amounts of money on guns. Without the norinco handguns, there would be a lot less handgunners in canada.

I'm a Norinco fan with an SKS, NP-29 and an HP9-1 which I am very happy with.

My M93 is a POS. It was bought from Lever Arms and has a light firing pin imprint, failures to extract, bumpfires, you name it it does it. It is a great pistol for teaching stoppage drills because you get one EVERY magazine. If it fires a full magazine without a jam, I almost drop it in surprise.

It has been to Levers gunsmith and mine and is still an unreliable, unpleasant pistol. It sits in my safe except for when I take newbies to the range. I use it to teach them how to deal with stoppages and to look for flinching.

In comparison, I bought a Beretta 71 for $150 on the EE and it is accurate and NEVER jams no matter what ammo I run through it. It goes to the range.

Armco had some too, I got one from him. Another I picked up in Calgary. I own an original Woodsman (2nd gen Match Target). These aren't the same at all, but no one spending 150 bucks expects that. The two I have work well, the trigger can be worked decently, and they're a good buy for the money. I picked up two for all the kids and other folks who just want to "shoot a pistol". - dan
