Since uppers unlike the lower are not regulated items (just generic gun parts)

Not true, don't confuse Canada's Firearms Act with US Export directives (which also shouldn't be confused with domestic Federal US firearms laws, which are different, which also shouldn't be confused with local, state, or municipal firearms regs, often different as well, but not our concern).

:runaway: <-- how I feel sometimes dealing with the first two.

So you're saying I have little chance of getting approved for a Colt 14.5" upper off an SBR?

As you state that. None. The US will not allow exports of rifles or rifle barrels of less than 16". We don't have to like it, and they don't have to justify it to us.

I'll ask that if people care about having US made firearms in Canada at all, that they don't now chime in with their theories on how US laws might be broken or circumvented. They have their laws, and if we want their guns in the future, their laws must be respected and followed, and speaking personally, are, to the letter.

Or, what if we simply wanted the upper receiver assembly alone. Since uppers unlike the lower are not regulated items (just generic gun parts), what's the probability of getting these approved for import up here?
Question is, would Colt sell uppers separately?
