I have a new favorite tv show. Combat Dealers on the travel network station. The star/owner is a bit overbearing but some of the places/dealers he visits are astounding with the amount of war equipment and memorabilia they have for sale. I'm amazed at the amount of weaponry (hand held & artillery) & ammo just stacked in some old farm buildings in Europe.
 
I watch it too. American Pickers with tanks. It seems wierd how popular Nazi vehicles and equipment is, but it has always been that way.
 
A pal of mine owns (amongst other things!) an M18 Hellcat that was used in 'Fury'-he was paid good money for loaning it for the film. He is also restoring a Sherman that will be the 3rd oldest working example in the world once it is finished and a lot of the parts are from barn finds in Europe. A 'new' turret ring and front drive sprockets arrived a few weeks back that had turned up in a barn in western France. He has a huge inventory of spares for all his vehicles but is always on the look out for more and will readily hop on the train to France to follow up on leads.
 
I finally got a chance to watch a few episodes.

I thought it was pretty cool, that untouched SS Schwimwagon in Normandy was really interesting.

I'll probably watch a few more later ;)
