Combat masters ammo

Kurt at Combat Masters has excellent customer service, and if you have any issues or problems, just give him a call or email him. He has already replied to my concerns and is more than willing rectify it. The 5000rds I have were in excellent shape, just the projectiles are plated and have some difficulties in HK barrels.

just got off the phone with Kurt. WOW, really rectified my problem with the plated. Excellent Customer service! No B.S. My next shipment of 124 (Montana gold heads) ammunition is on its way! I would not hesitate to order from him again.

Shot off 150 rounds of 124 gr 9mm this morning.

No misfires

No FTF

No FTE

Fired cases and primers look FINE

Accurate

Clean

One case had squashed mouth but I seen it before I loaded it...so not one malfunction.

Conclusion...SP-01 LIKES it....:D

Fired off 200 more rounds today of BDX 124gr 9mm(Montana bullets)...

No FTF

No FTE

Fairly clean...after about 150 I ran patch through and it was only a little dirty.

No tumbling or keyholing

No jams or malfunctions of any kind

Accuracy was good...I am just learning but aside from the odd flyer I am grouping reasonable well at 25 yards(4-6 inch groups).

So far I have about 300 rounds of BDX ammo and 100 rounds of PMC through my SP-01 and not one malfunction of any kind.:D

Great gun....great ammo. I am surprised at how peppy a 9mm is especially in a heavy gun like the SP-01.

Should be interesting when I get my 10mm Auto in a couple of months:eek:

This is shot at 25 meters...I know its not the best but I am still experimenting with what produces the best accuracy for me.

you should be pretty close to his advertised PF or 134, as he uses a CZ75 or 85 for testing. Does the SP01 have polygonal rifling, or is it land and groove?
Can't wait to try out the 124gr montana.
thanks for sharing,

Got my shipment this afternoon of the 124gr ammunition.
I won't be able to get to the range to sight it in and test it until Monday. I will give some feed back if I can locate a chrony, as Trent is overseas (we used his CED chrony)

400rds, no FTF, no FTE. Very accurate, and best of all, "No tumbling issues"
I just have to get used to the timing. Aside from the operator induced flyer, very consistant groups. I could cover my 15y grouping with a half lid off a coffee can. No pictures, sorry! I had to make no adjustments to elevation, as it shot about an inch high at 15yrds, and that is just fine with me. At 25yards I moved it 3 clicks to the left, as it shot a little to the right.

used them in a match. Good results, no misses...(LOL)
It seems my slide is moving a bit faster, and recovery is minimal with minor muzzle flip.

Have gone through 600 rounds and no malfuncitons of any kind.

I only found the 1 cartridge with a squashed mouth.

So I have 700 rounds through my SP-01 and not 1 jam, FTF or FTE is the gun and ammo that good or am I just lucky?

yep, I am sticking with the 124gr. My next order will most likely include a case of the indoor stuff.

The ammo's that good. Other than a few squashed case mouths I've seen, it's all top notch. I've never had a FTF, or FTE in 1000 .40 and about 700 9mm. Nor have I seen any with the other guys that I made a group buy with. For the price I've certainly got no complaints.

Kurt's customer service is excellent. What sort of amounts have you been ordering in Maurice? Our last order came on a pallet and needed a forklift. 27k of various calibres.:D

My first order was for 5000 rds of the 147gr plated ammunition. Of course with my luck, plated do not work well in HK barrels. I sold the remainder off very quickly, as the IPSC shooters i sold have dealt with Canadian BDX/ Combat masters before, and know it was a quality product.
I ordered another 5000 of the 124gr with Montana heads, and I am satisfied. It is around 132 pf out of my HK. Much better than factory of course, but not mouse-farts. SLide appears to be moving a bit faster. I am ordering another shipment in July possibly, which may or may not last until after Christmas, as my activity slows down after the summer.
