thanks anyway , btw: could you post some pics , close up would be nice .

Curtton, Do you expect that the IZN imported SKS's being sold everywhere now will be very different than the comming BELL imports, therefore very different guns? i.e. Different point of origin in ex USSR, ...etc

for your info both of the ones I bought are Tula one is 1951 the other 1954

yeah, a couple pics would be awesome, I ordered a laminate from Als, wont get shipped until Monday at earliest. Paulette told me my serial number, she said she thought it was cool-T77###, pretty simple serial #s. Id like a sneak peek at what I may get

did the 3 ### represent 3 numbers ? if so that would be the first time i saw a russian with 5 numeric.

nope, thats the serial number, some may scold me for posting a complete serial, but...... I just thought it was odd.

Russian SKS are at Al Simmons

I got the call from Al Simmons yesterday and was told they had 60 Russian SKS in stock. :p I went today and bought three. I also got one of the crates they were shipped in for free. They are all refurb with some electro stenciled parts but in excellent condition. All the ones I saw were made by TULA, I picked up 1951 dated and two 1952 dated ones. They have just over forty left.

Price was $229
laminated stock $249
case of ammo $199

There was a cylindrical piece of metal under the follower. there are no screws that go threw the mag housing, it must be welded in. I need to take a better look and will post some pics.
