Hey all. I am one of the OP's buddies and I have to tell you that morning when it was -26 without the windchill I am sure glad we had this shack. It is very sturdy and the framing is heavy so it weights quite a bit. I know a few people have voiced the concern over wind tip over but there are so many factors when it comes to wind factor it is a depp subject. I am actually looking up the upper threshold wind values that this area gets during a typical year but there is a valley near buy and several large areas of tall trees. This disrupts the winds flow which lowers the winds speed and force as well. We are looking to stake it to the ground but since the legs are not vertical it would takes high sustained winds to topple it over.
She is great to shoot from and I did take my deer at 155 yards with Creamy's XCR is 6.8. Great stand, great gun great land to hunt on. We are heading out in a week or two to check the stand and cabin that is just through the tree line from the stand.
