The engineering/NDT company I work for is starting to get a fair bit of work in the potash mines in Sask, but mostly on the engineering side. I was bugging the owner asking him if they were going to open an office in Sask, and much to my surprise he replied that it may well be in the cards and there are alot of opportunities coming for the NDT part of the company (me!!). I was quite surprised at his reply, but told him that I would be willing to go every Oct/Nov as long as I can take a rifle.

I hope this works out!! :D

Well, that gets you part way to B.C. It's a start. :p
(Be warned, though, that if you make it out here, you'll have to learn to handle a rifle and a latte at the same time.)

Hi, just move lock stock and barrel to stay. You won't want to move back until your very old and looking to lay down !!!

well, its gotta beat Newfoundland
Actually, I'm from NB (New Brunswick), and while the hunting here in NB does chew a bit, NFLD (Newfoundland) has some of the best moose hunting east of BC. Fishing is awesome there as well. One could only wish to get to hunt there. It's not cheap as the Americans from Boston way pay big $$ for the privilage.

Saskatchewan has a few things going for it. Because everyone moved to Calgary and turned out the lights
That's the reason we are able to get work there, cuz all the trades moved to Alta. :)

Plus, we also seem to have and endless supply of Pil.
Dare I ask what "Pil" is?

They moved to AB for a reason...

If you like money, AB might be a place you might want to have a look.

Pil is origionaly cheap Alberta beer, no wonder people from Saskabush think it is great :p :D

Pil=Pilsner beer. Learn to like it and stomach it. It's a staple for most folks here.

With enough of them the stomach will eventually get used to having gut rot :dancingbanana:

Gut rot...
A particularily painful sharp, gastrous pain, caused by a night of heavy Pil consumption, usually following the morning after consumption occurs.

Welcome to Sask....you'll like it, good hunting, good people, you may not like the winters......if you ever get to P/A look me up.

Come on out!

NDE is getting big here. The company I work for has a couple of jobs done a month and the guys we hire are very busy. We build storage tanks for the oilfield.

And yes, Pil is a staple here. Just beware of the "Pilsner $hits" the next day.

Have to be experienced to be understood.
