even springfields.... out of the box and at premium prices need the same "tweaks" as the norincos. True, u.s. quality control is arguably superior to that of our friends in china..... BUT as an M14 gunsmith and custom rifle builder, I have never even thought about owning a springfield.
figure this...... many guys are sending me thier 500 n change poly's and norincos (and yes a few springfields). For a little over 200.00 thier rifle is fully inspected, headspace verified, and misalignment or ill fitting parts corrected and basic match conditioning work is performed, including tig weld unitizing of the gas assembly.
So now, a guy has spent about 750 to 800.00 to have a rifle that is every bit as reliable as any springfield on the market, and then some. Your high priced springfield has NONE of this work done and still costs hundreds more.... for what??
It would be FANTASTIC to have new manufacture m14 type rifles from Italy..... many fine firearms come from the factories over there. I have no doubt any firearm they produce will be miles ahead of china when it comes to part dimensions and assembly Quality control.
I will be eagerly but patiently awaiting the announcement of these rifles being availlable.
My ONLY question for John is this:
Will there be full runs of spare parts availlable to be purchased? IF SO PLEASE CONTACT ME PRIVATELY.... please

Sadly this is the BIG speedbump in the road for all of the chinese rifles out there. One either has to buy them and render them to spare parts to keep any inventory OR one must purchase usgi and aftermarket parts from a U.S. source, costing far more and enduring heavy import/export procedures.... if the parts can be brought in at all.
So..... the way i see it, there is no point bringing in any more of these rifles , regardless of manufacture, if there is no original, new manufacture, replacement parts to be purchased, IN CANADA , by gunsmiths or private owners. This issue must be addressed...... I'm sure most would agree
