Coming Soon The Worlds First Flexible Lvl 3 Plus Rifle Armor

will these be NIJ certified? Because if so I would be good for a set of the lightweight ones. (and the normal ones too tbh).

We will be getting these certified. Its a long process so first we will get the official report that says they are in compliance with NIJ standards, but at the same time we will get the official certification process going.

Would you be able to get the soft armour 3+ in shapes that mimic lvl 3a soft armour inserts in size/dimensions?

This armor is licensed from an American firm and we make it all in house here in Canada with some of the fabric brought in from the US. It has the same amount of backface as a rigid rifle plate. So far our testing has showed the a .308 only leaves around 35 mm of backface which is in line with NIJ requirements. And we’ve tested with .223 green tips going at I believe 1050m/s and then backface was around 18mm far below any dangerous threshold

Help me understand if you are only buying the fabric and assembling your own armour, then you should submit it for NIJ testing under your own brand name for certification ( you buying material from a manufacturer doesn’t give you or the material certification ) unless I totally misunderstood the NIJ testing and current list of certified companies & that includes upcoming but not yet instituted NIJ.07

Are the materials in the vest the same design as the Safe Life Defense Vest....?

They are different materials and construction methods. The safe life vest only deals with up to .223. Ours is fully Level 3+ and can handle up to .308 and M855 AP .223. Also we have ours rated to be multi hit and are able to stop 6 .308 impacts on one plate.

Also these are the first plates that are truly unisex. It fits both men and women comfortably as it conforms to the wearers body. This makes it a lot easier as you don’t have to buy the more expensive female multicurve plates especially if you want to buy plates for your female significant other.

We are gonna need pics for reference purposes, curvier the better...asking for a friend.

Bumping this again to see if there's an update.

We got the testing report back and each of our plates only stopped the first 5 of the 6 shots. This means that they will not pass the full NIJ certification. However we are working on another option to try and fix this. We will post some updates when they are ready.
