For IDPA, or just because.

Where in Canada (hate waiting from the states), styles, models, makers...most important retailers?

(Fobus blows, but I don't mind Kydex or other plastics...)

What works for you...what doesn't?

Thanks

i bought a 5.11 bladetech direct from bladetech for my commander, worked like a charm, also check out the combo pack they have. blade tech will ship to canada, but check daves surplus out first as they may have it in stock.

Thanks Wes...

I did check out Dave's when I found the item listed in a Google search.

Canadian and CGN Dealer, sweet...and if it's in stock and ships, we're golden.

I was lingering at Blade-Tech, but the waiting time, currency hassles, out-of-country...you get the drift.

Now we're mere months away from getting out to the club to try it all out.

I use Milt Sparks, Mitch Rosen & HorseShoe leather holsters. Custom made yes, expensive yes but great functionnal designs & quality made. I have 2 belts from HorseShoe in England that I had made up in 1989....and they still do the job to this day !! Quality stuff...

For IDPA I'd go with a Milt Sparks # 55BN, superb design worth having a look into....

One last note about production holsters. Galco for example, makes fine leather holsters but dont offer a choice of belt slot size so you have to go with a 1 3/4 inch belt which is BIG. And sure enough you've seen guys at the range with a 1 3/4 in slotted holster in a 1 1/2 in. belt...``trademark of the un-professionnal`` not to mention the ``whobbling effect``...A felow of mine recently had a hard time finding an appropriate belt to tightly fit a nice Fobus standard holster....Sold the holster & is presently shopping for a fine rig...
