Who can provide a new 1911 in 9mm with a legal length barrel with a light rail in the frame. Looking at single stack 9mm's with a metal frame. Would like a 3 dot sight and a magwell ramp but that can be added after. Dont mind ordering if it can be done through a Canadian dealer and would wait for the right stuff:cool: Would like to keep it under $1500:p

Contact brownells and get the small rail that can be permanently affixed to the frame. Then you can take advantage of the cheap 9mm from Norinco at Marstar and do the whole thing for under $500 bucks. I've got one I haven't used yet, fits the 1911 and the Beretta's. Just ordered my 1911 from Marstar for that very project.

Im sorry I dont see why anyone would want a 1911 in anything but .45acp. I understand shooting 9mm is cheaper but its like buying a corvette with a v6. Friends dont let friends buy a 1911 in anything but .45acp, IMO.

I agree that everyone should have a 1911 in .45, but I also want to have one in 9mm as well. I like my 9mm Sig but there's nothing like the feel of the 1911 no matter what calibre.

Your just a 45 snob.I would insert a smiley but they havnt worked for me in over a year.

I just like the .45 round more than any other round. I have a USP in 9mm thats a joy to shoot. I also do not like 9mm ar15s I just feel that there are certain guns that should be certain calibers. ARs in .223, barretts in .50, and 1911 in .45

"BROWNING HI-POWER!"

If you do find a 1911 in 9mm with-out a rail, have a look at NOVAKs add on rail for the 1911.

Thanks but I dont like the Browning slide as much as a 1911. Did decide to go with the NOVAKs rail if I go aftermarket. Looking towards a STI Ranger II with a few extra add ons or a Kimber Tactical Pro II with a longer barrel and a rail added. The Taurus 1911 with a integrated rail and dot sights are yet to be ordered or avalible in Canada(Wholesale), so a big no go on that:rolleyes:
