I have this exact revolver (686p Deluxe), extremely acurate, high quality. and because it is a 7 shots, the grooves for the catch on the barrel are in the thikess part of the metal, not like a 6 shots is (the grooves on a 6 shots are exaclty on top of each chamber, which give not much place for the groove....), because of that, it is better to have a 7 shots over a 6....
