I have one and an M44, and both are really bad for recoil. But they haven't jammed or caused me any problems what so ever. I completely recommend them both.

Most of the mosin recoil has to do with the MG surplus ammo that people are puttin through them. The reloads I've done up have resulted in sub MOA and recoil like any .308 bolt gun.
