Comp shotgun feed port opening, Did my own. PIC HEAVY

Ended up getting a slightly used versamax a few weeks ago, Didnt really want to shell out the $400 to get the feed port opened up so decided to do it myself last night.
Also did some shell latch tuning too a few days ago.
Have to say Iam quite happy with how it turned out, Used a 30 year drill press and a $10 pack of bits from Princess Auto, Stopped at Canadian Tire to pick up some sand paper today to finish it off. Started with 220 grit to 400 to 600 to 1000 and eventually a 1500 sponge.
Thought I would share and see if anyone has done their own as well be it with a dremmel a drill or whatever else you had.
Never done anything like this before!

Not sure what you mean? I didn't bend anything, Lifter is still stock, Will most likely order an extended one though

Not sure, they were just their house brand Power Fist, a Pack of 3 you can see 2 different ones in the photos and the 3rd was kind of a round bit

Not sure i'd want to do another haha, In total it took me 7, hours 5 hours the first night to get the cuts done, and 2 hours the second day to do the sanding and trim the forend

All and all the total price came out to $70
vice was on sale for $20 (not the best quality thats for sure)
3 pack of bits was $10
all the sandpapers and sponges were $30
and I bought one single bit as well that was very skinny, it caught on the first pass and bent so it got tossed $10

Nope, the press table was actually very small so I had to screw a board onto it, and did the sides free hand in the vise, and used some quick clamps and a board to do the front

Ooops! Posting without paying attention. Dazzled by your port work, I thought the shell catch was the lifter.
