i'm looking for something to just leave in my truck. i have a couple locking concealed compartments in the cab. from my reading of the regs, if i put a trigger lock on the gun, and lock it in the compartment, i'm legal. so i've checked out that Henry US Survival .22. very cool looking little gun. now my interest is piqued. what other companies make a gun like this?

make sure they are 26" long when assembled. You can get a Butler Creek folder

yup. the henry is 35" overall. it's a good price, and looks nice. i'm looking for something that collapses the same or similar way. my compartments aren't big enough for me to stick a 10/22 in there, even with a Butler Creek folder.

You won't be able to slap a lock on the Henry AR-7 if it is disassembled and stowed in the stock. It's not likely to be super-quick to deploy, given how you'd be storing it, but you can get it ready to rock & roll in under 1.5 minutes, for sure.

If the rifle is out of sight and the truck is locked when you exited it, there's no need for a trigger lock.
Even if it's dismantled, you still need to lock the truck if your leaving it, from what I understand.

What size of space do you have to stash a rifle in?
