Compact rifle in 22 WMR?

I'm looking for a rifle that's light, compact, not expensive and in 22WMR.
Tired of shooting 22lr, want to try something new. Since everybody seems to have a 17 HMR nowadays, I'd like a 22WMR.

Can you detail which brand, model and maybe how do you like it (if you posess such "beast") ? Did I mention it must be cheap?

Anyone have any experience with a Cricket in 22WMR?
The LOP is only 12.5" but it might be interesting if a full-sized stock was available.

I got mine the other day.
Stiff bolt, stiffer trigger, but haven't shot it yet. Anybody that did?

I got the trigger to 3.25 lbs and worked the bolt so that it feels good. I wasn't really sure I was going to like the 300F but I do (I got the LR model).
Compared it with my 10-22 and at 25 yds not much to choose between them. At 50 yds the Stevens shot better groups with Win. 333 ammo and Stingers. The 10-22 was better with Blazers.

Interesting to hear that it did well with the Stingers. I haven't owned a .22 yet that shot them well. What sort of groups were you getting with it at 50 yards and were these groups shot with a scope or irons?

Guess I haven't been in this section for a while.
Groups were about 1" - 1.25" with a basic scope.

Shorter barrel means smaller effect of barrel harmonics on trajectory. Compared to a longer barrel of the same profile, it'll be more accurate. You just won't get the same velocity.

Are there any plans to make a lefty model for us left-eye'd folk?
