Compact?

Not finding clear explanations n manufacturer's websites,
"Compact"- is a "youth" sized gun? so the stock is shortened? anything else different?
Same as what some Mfgs call "Micro"?

pretty sure the pull on the slide is shorter. and the barrell is shorter too. i know the remington 870 express youth, And the mossberg youth are. we were looking at them for the wife.

The H & R "youth" rifles have a shorter LOP and a shorter barrel as well.
Actually when hunting on a really cold day in November and you are all bundled up with a lot of clothes on I kind like a smaller rifle as I find it easier to handle.
