Am looking for a variable power scope for my T3 Varmint .223. Mostly punching holes in paper but hopefully a bit of varmint hunting thrown in as well.
A decent quality variable (say, an Elite 4200 6-24) will fill the bill I'm sure but hey, I'm not totally immune to the whole "tacticool" look so have been eyeballing them first and foremost.
Have got a line on a new Burris XTR 6-24x50 mil-dot scope and am leaning that way. I've owned a Black Diamond 6-24x50 in the past and was very happy with it.
My question, how does the XTR compare with, say, an Elite 6500 Tactical? Or does it compare more closely with the Leupold Mark 4 or the Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20?
