Comparing my RRA

My RRA is a-ok!!! I have several AR platforms from various manufacturers including some of those mentioned. The RRA has seen as much or more use than the rest including some Tac Response courses etc and it works just fine. The finish is very dark too compared to some of the more black-grey finish on some other manufacturer's platforms.

RRA AR seems to be fine from what i have seen, definitely i would be raising the bar in some areas, but it is not like they are after the KAC market share or other higher end AR's manufactures pie. On semi-auto only i don't see you ever seeing their misgivings. if any really.

And once again... let's hear from the armchair warriors as to why these are sub-standard: facts please and not just "I read that one guy on AR15.com said....."
I run several makes and models but I must be less itelligent or just plain hill-billy because I cannot honestly pick out all these obvious flaws / shortcomings they have that are so evident to some people even though they won't discuss them on the forum let alone back up their statements.
Maybe I need to dress more "tactical" or watch more "deadliest warrior" in order to be uber AR15 knowledgeable. Oh woe is me.....

I think it is time for CGN to lay this to rest; we need to have a CGN-run test of the 6 or 7 most popular makes of AR; we should just get one of each, and run ammo through them until they start exploding. The last one still spitting out lead in the right direction gets the distinction of being the 'CGN-Tested Best ####ing AR EVER!'

Not sure you can tell much from just one example of each, you'd need to do like 10 of each or so, to rule out lemons and such. just my .02cents

I have to agree. There are definitely makes/brands that put more care and attention into their guns as well as features. However, the majority of the "name" brands have little to no issues. I will admit that the DPMS I had did not have an in spec receiver rail. Right dimensions for mounting sh*t but it would not align with a major brand name forend.

As for RRA from the variances i have seen they seem to not follow the TDP, but all manufactures have there own standards that they adhere too. Other issues that come to mind is i would not see the gas key staked very well and would have to be re-staked after 10,000 or 15,000 rds for example.keep in mind though that many failures i have seen are due to the armorer not keeping up with parts replacement specified in there armorers manual.
The one website that makes me laugh is M4carbine.net at times because they follow what ever Colt's employees say and yet i would say most manufactures have gone beyond the milspec standard in many regards.
I was not impressed with Colt's line of rifles at many times, and i find a lot of die harder mentality push's there product. I would choose KAC,LMT,POF,DD, hell even spikes as well before Colt USA. I have seen several Colts have catastrophic failures, they were older model from early 2000's due to quality control and not meeting there own standard. They do make a good rifle but have shown little innovation as of late in that company..
All in all, I would choose KAC every-time for the most part, due to the fact there customer service is stellar and there is a lot of work put in there guns.
