Hi, so I shoot trap about once a week I was just wondering if the A400 is worth the price over the A300, considering I’m on a budget. I was able to shoot a A400 from my buddy at the range but have no experience from the A300 besides holding it at the store. I like both from a mounting stand point just wondering how A300 owners feel about them.

I shoot Trap with a buddy that bought an A300 in January for Trap this season and it is a very nice shotgun. He absolutely loves it, not that this info is a comparison to the 400, but he did put aside the O/U he has shot for years because he prefers the A300 
They use a different gas system. The a400 is faster cycling but for trap it really doesnt matter. The new a300 ultima has some great features
If you're only shooting trap I dont think you'll notice a difference between the 2 from a technical design aspect.
I prefer the a400 xplor series as a game gun but for trap id easily settle for the ultima. The stepped rib is a nice feature on a hot day
In my experience mobil chokes throw denser patterns than ochp chokes if you like a hot core for smoking targets
