Compensator won't thread on flush?

Long story short, I'm building a 10-22 and ran into a snag. I just received my TacSol compensator and attempted to thread it onto the barrel. I was thinking of just adding some extra threads, but there's a "shelf" that looks like it'd keep me from going any deeper. Just wondering what you guys might think as far as solutions.

By the looks of your compensator it does not need to be timed and you can get away with a normal washer. Measure it twice and go to your local hardware store and buy a couple washers

barrel seems fine. Pics are not epic but it looks like there might be a washer in the comp already. Either way its the comp that needs to be threaded deeper, ideally with a ' bottoming ' tap. Washer or spacer nut should fix it.

That's the reason I baught it Radmacks, I was hoping to avoid the issues of needing to time it. Turns out when ever I try and avoid an issue, a new one presents itself. Haha

Zulu, the threads go literally almost all the way. Their maybe two or three turns away from actually being flush to the barrel.

GSG, I'm not sure if a bottoming tap would help? The area that looks like a washer is a machined part of the compensator. It's also slightly tapered, but if I can find a bottoming tap, I'll be sure to give it a whirl.

I'm also going to look into getting a washer of some sort if a tap doesn't help out.
