So after having a Chrony (always reads fast) a CED (Expensive and fragile) a Pact (old..old..old) I settled on the Competition Electronics ProChrono a couple years ago.
The bloody thing has always kept me happy - works great with a light box or outdoors, sturdy, carries a spare battery for when I leave it on to save my butt.
I've always been happy with it...but...
They just shipped me my Digital Link Adapter for it and now it is AWESOME.
The Digital Link Adapter is a bluetooth adapter and as they said on the Big Bang Theory; everything is better with bluetooth!
The Chrono now talks to my iphone through it's app. (works with droids too) I mean literally talks - it reads out the shots (like a CED but much cheaper) it automatically makes record of the shots in the app, it notes the temperature and barometric pressure from the weather feed plus calculates power factor and it's incredibly user friendly.
Anyway, couldn't be happier with it - I just had to share - and this endorsement comes free and clear - I don't sell chronographs.
