I was leery of the rib for the same reasons because I once owned a BT-99 Plus and its adjustable rib was not very durable. What eased my concern was the condition of a demo gun that was being used at a private club in Ontario. Demo guns there are not well maintained and used hard by a variety of people and the ACS rib was still good.Claybuster,
as this model is on my short list might I ask your opinion on the sturdiness of the rib. I have heard complaints about other guns with adjustable ribs having parts (screws/adjustment wheels) that loosen or ribs that go out of whack. Any concerns on your gun ?
Input appreciated.
The rib is a composite material and after weekly use for over a year mine is still straight and true. The adjustments are pretty straight forward and once I set a 60/40 pattern I have left it alone.
My only frustration has been with the detachable trigger. Removing and replacing it is a little more complicated than my P-gun and it took a couple of tries before I do it successfully. Beretta could also take a cue from Perazzi and drill a hole in the recoil pad to facilitate removal of the stock but that is a very minor quibble and one that I'll have corrected at some point.
