Competitive Precision Shooting Intro Clinic... Photos

Does anyone still use hunting-type guns or is this strictly for custom -built toys ?
I would still like to participate but not in a match where I don't have a hope of being competitive....

went out today with a huntin huskie in 243 today
my numbers wern't newhere near rest of group out today
but at 300 meters and soild huntin rifle get you great learning till its time to order a 6br

We are about half full at this point, so lots of room left.

Please don't be intimidated about equipment! This clinic is more about the process than the results. We will likely have a few "demos" for people to try putting a few rounds through to actually see the difference between what a purpose-built target rifle feels like etc. but we want you to come out with what you have available.

There is no problem is particpants want to share a firearm, provided you each have sufficient ammo for your strings.

Hi Mike!

I hope we can talk a few of you tac shooters to come out and give this f-class thing a whirl. I would dearly love to see you and I collaborate on an F-Tac match and get the whole motley bunch of us together... between your booze and our shooters' heart medications, we should have a yakaflutz that will take the curl out of our tails.

Once again, we still have lots of room for those that would like to try this!

Cheers

Ian

Oh man... I go over a month getting one-or-two shifts a week... Then I get a space to come to this clinic and all three places I work have been calling!
No way I'm going to have a gun ready :-(
(I'm still coming tho!)

Difficult to believe that only a few hours ago was in Kamloops... What a great morning, too bad had to leave before the afternoon but lesson learned (leave wife & kid at home - am happy that other hotel guests did not track down the car with the baby seat and slash the tires). 5 shots to zero scope (am still astonished that the boresighter put me on paper at 300m), 12 shot string, that averages 47.5km of driving per shot.

Learned that competitive shooters are not far removed from the insane asylum as evidenced by the shooting jackets and that someone needs to distract Lee while another loosens, or better yet removes, his action screws. There also needs to be more clarification on scoring, I thought I paid enough to get Xs but did not even get all 10s.

Seriously though, was a good crew that ran the clinic and good company participating. Hope that the intermediate one / technique focus happens, would like to be there for that. Hopefully see a few of you in Summerland.

Here we have the instructor discussing how to qualify for "F class" with a tactical Tim Horton run :p
