Complete unissued Brazilian 1908 Mauser!

This is the first one "I" see wich still has the original barrel cleaning patch!

Sorry, but that is not the original sling. These are amazing finds though, aren't they? I'm amazed at the ones I've owned - like a time machine back to pre-WW1 German craftsmanship

I have two unissued Mausers, a 1908 and a 1935, and I shoot them both, no regrets.

They are extremly accurate, ~ 1- 1.5 inch 100m (3 shots).

Thanks Claven, you're right, these are not the right slings...one of them is a Browning! I searched a bit and I think I found the right ones (much darker brown)

That minty Brazilian looks like she was made yesterday...got to love German quality, they do not even come close to making modern firearms to the same standard.

Nice 1908. I have two in VG++ and one of these days will own a new one.
In the 70s, 1908s and 1895 Brazilian Mausers came into Century / International Firearms. They were new and complete, in zinc lined crates in the grease for $159.95.
They were an awsome deal for new in the grease DWM Mausers, manufactured between the wars.
We had no idea the flow of surplus guns would become a trickle.
I finally found a new 1935, and found a New 1941 Portuguese Mauser I traded off in 1992 or 1993.

I remember those and it was International firearms who had the ad on the back page of the Gunrunner. For a while they were selling original Colt 1851 Navy Perucssion revolvers London Marked,with Upper and Lower Canada markings. Like fools we never invested in them as they were not "Shooters".

Thanks for sharing the pics of your beauty. I agree fully...DON'T SHOOT IT!!!!! The fudds would say to shoot it, thus cutting the value by two thirds.
I am glad to see one that has not been fired!!!!!
