So after a couple weeks, the handguard swap is done.
I'm pretty happy with the result. I really like the look of my rifle now !
It was fairly easy, it was tight but except for the standard nut inside diameter i haven't modified anything else.
I was a bit sceptical for the *clamp* system but i must admit, its very solid and aligment is perfect.
I used Loctite as well on the clamp screws.
I used an earth magnets to hold the lower *clamp* while i was inserting the handguard on the barrel.
There was no room for the lower clamp because of the gas block.
So once the clamp was passed the gas block, i use the magnet to return the clamp at the right spot and insert the screw.
The barrel nut is at 35 ft.lb. for perfect gas tube alignment.
I began at minimum ( 30 ft.lb. ) but it needed a little more.
I felt that the factory nut was also torqued on the low side.
