I'm going to try a new powder. In my data book the grains say 98.0 C. Does something have to be done to the powder in order to get it all to fit in the brass or does this just mean you have to hang off your press to fully seat bullet?lol

No a compressed load indicates that the powder will probably fill the case... when the bullet is seated the powder will compress...
Extra precautions need to be taken... when seating the bullet and watch for signs of overpressure when you shoot it.. I'm assuming that it's a slow powder... Or I hope it is...

Looks exactly like the max Retumbo load for .338LM ?
If so, I think you'll find that tapping the side of the case with your finger will settle the powder so that seating the bullet won't actually compress it, but the case will be really full. Thats how mine look.

"...the bullet is seated the powder will compress..." Exactly. No big deal. Just load as you always do, but be careful when seating the bullet. You don't want to jostle the charged case and spill out any of the powder.

When loading the maximum amount of powder into a case, generally the slow burning powders for a cartridge, you can use a drop tube.
These tubes allow the powder to settle more compactly into the case than just dumping the powder in from the funnel. They attach to the outlet of the funnel and are available in different lenghts, the longer the tube the more powder you will be able to get in.
