Concerned with side parallax on Falcon Menace

Hey guys, well I got my Falcon Menace 4.5-18x56IR a few days ago and love the way its put together besides the crazy hard to turn power ring.

I've once read a review on the internet of a person mentioning that the side parallax on the Falcon Menace scope is off a bit.

Now since my arrived, I was playing with the adjustments and noticed my side parallax goes a lot further past then I'd think it should.

My old Bushnell Elite 3200 5-15x40 adjustable objective stops at 15 and stops directly at infinite, while this scope goes past.

Is this common with side parallax adjustment scopes?

Here are a few pics.

Does anybody with their Falcon Menace have a similar case?
Is this a problem? would my parallax be off?
Is there any way to tell if it's off by taking the scope to a 100yard range?

sorry for the bombardment with questions, I just put down 500 for this scope and if there is some kind of fault I want it replaced asap lol

thanks
bart

A PM to CyberK might be a better idea than a post.
He will no doubt see this thread, though.

I made this thread to hear the opinions of other users with this scope, not saying CyberK can't provide anything helpful as he can but I would have thought he might chime in here also with the other responses.

My adjustable parallax experience has been limited to AO scopes. I have always found the scale to be approximate at best, and have always adjusted the parallax while actually looking at the target.
I am looking foreward to using the Menace which I have ordered.

The only disappointment for mine was the quality of the flip caps, the front one refuses to stay on the scope, very loose. I am also not a huge fan of the fit using Butler Creek flip-ups either. I guess I am spoiled after using the Leupold flip caps.

Maybe they changed it for the IR model, but the flip-up caps on mine work 100% fine.

I even have don't understand why I would even upgrade to butler creek's since these work great. Stay closed and spring open just fine. I can even record a video :p haha jk

All of the Falcon scopes turn past the min and max parallax adjustments. This is not a problem at all. In my experience with them, the indicated distances are correct.

Remember that temperature, humidity and range are all going to affect parallax, so there are times when your marks will not be right on.

They have made some improvements to the caps. The original ones had a habit of flipping around when you shot and turning on the scope. They are still no Butler Creek in my opinion, but they are better than nothing.
