The mechanism to revoke is in the Act, but the actual confiscation and revocation is in the CC.

One way is, pursuant to s. 111(1) of the Criminal Code, a peace officer, firearms officer or chief firearms officer can apply for a prohibition order on the basis that they think you are unfit to possess firearms.

A Firearms Hearing does not require the laying of charges.
