That means nothing. No reason to stop you firing a 270 in a .30-06. The .270 was MADE FROM THE .30-06. I have lots of .270 brass that was sized back up to .30-06 and then fired in my rifle. Not dangerous. Now, trying to fire a .30-06 in a .270 would be disastrous.

Ummm, I always thought those warnings had something to do with Lawyer stuff, you know, like the new drugs advertised on TV which will cure the simplest of ailments - but side effects could be vomiting, nausea, skin turn yellow, liver failure, ulcers and possibly heart failure.

Not so sure now. b: f:P:

According to SAAMI, it is not safe to fire a .350 Remington Magnum cartridge, or a .303 British, in my 7mm Remington Magnum. Why can't I fire these other chamberings in my 7mm Remington Magnum? I thought the Big 7 could do it all!?

In all seriousness though.....are there people out there who actually own firearms and are that dense?

Wow that Saami list makes me feel a lot better about my ,308 Winchester ammo,,,
I had no idea that the ,308 Winchester round is so powerful that even a 7mm Remington Magnum rifle can't handle it:rolleyes:

An outfitter/guide told this story one day. His hunter missed a shot at a big buck so he told the guy they maybe better shoot the rifle at a target. The rifle was a .300 wheatherby mag. but the guy said that .300 winchester mag. was much cheaper so that is what he was shooting in it. The outfitter drove him to RedDeer to buy proper ammo.

what part of using the cartridge that the firearm is chambered for is giving difficulty ? .303 is a rimmed cartridge-the other 2 are not-can you make me your life insurance beneficiary ? just because it fits doesn't make it SAFE..
