For those of us who have purchased the pre order this weekend will you guarantee that you will hold your end of the sales contract for the agreed upon price at 1449?

Sorry for the directness of the question but due to the recent events here on CGN, I feel it is warranted.

Not up on the CGN sewing circle gossip.
What's up with the price on these and Wanstalls? What's the recent events?

Never mind just saw the other thread. The old bait and switch on price with a pre-order eh?
Maybe interest went way up all of a sudden and someone somewhere on one side of the border figured they could add a little "Canadian NR" tax on it I bet.

Just want Wanstalls to clarify precisely that they will commit to the advertised price on the pre order sales. I don't want to hear, or wait to hear, any stories or explanations about other retailers or M+M excuses.

My pre order sale is with Wanstalls no one else and on nothing else.

I don't think Wanstalls is to blame, I think the price they set is fair but I think they got screwed by M + M and possibly Canada Ammo.

Well hopefully it all gets settled and straightened out!!! Just wondering if the original pre sale price isn't going to be honoured by wantsall do all the people get monies back or store credit as posted on the website ;)

There you have it ( from M+M facebook post)
1. "M+M has not approved any dealers to take pre-orders"
2. " At this time we are working to determine final MSRP for the Canadian specific product"
3. " We are currently working on our production timelines and availability."
So who do you think is to blame?
It is clear Wanstalls started the pre-order without approval/contract , based on non-existing product, price and delivery timeline.
This is why they can not clearly commit to the advertised price or argue the info from M+M posts.
Let see if they will prove me wrong.
Cheers.

Oh snap! No 2 bullet point, working on the MSRP....I read that as "whoa, we can hike the price up on this bad boy, just by how much!"

I wonder if the people will get their $250 back or be transfered to store credit....man, if they choose option two i cant imagine the lynching they'll get on here...

Some basic legal principles. Wanstalls offers to sell you an MX10 for $1449.99. This offer is not made conditional by Wanstalls on getting a distributorship, or on getting the deal done with M+M at a certain price or in a certain way, or on anything else. The way you accept Wanstalls offer is to tell them that you want an MX10 and send in the required deposit. Having done so there is then a firm and enforceable contract between you and Wanstalls to sell you an MX10 for $1449.99. The price that Wanstalls has to pay to get the MX10 , or any other factor, is completely irrelevant.

correct, as I stated above, my contract is with Wanstalls alone, I don't want to hear about anyone else, or anything else than my m10x purchase contract pre order for 1449 with 250 deposit with Wanstalls.

Thats it.

you are working under the assumption that wanstalls is still able to buy the product from M+M without agreeing to some sort of contract stating they can not sell for less than $###X.

I know if I was the manufacturer, any retailer wanting to sell my product would have a price they could not sell lower than to prevent my distributors/retailers from trying to cut eachothers throats while ruining my products image in the marketplace with their in fighting

Possibly ?!?!? Payment does not guarantee acceptance of a pre-order. Either party may cancel the pre-order, for a full refund(store credit or reimbursement of money) for any reason whatsoever, at any time, up until the point when the pre-order is “Accepted”.
Just a thought?

It's working on the assumption that wanstalls promised product at a price conditional on them receiving a down payment.

The how of how they get through to finishing their side of the contract is their problem. The contract still exists.
