Hi,i would like to know,the diameter of conical bullet for uberti 1860 army revolver,Uberti said conical dia .454,tried to found a mold for it,lee mold got .450 ,.456,any info will be appreciated,thanks

The only way to be sure is to slug the barrel and measure it.

454 is a 45 colt measurement. Must be some molds that work.

You could go 456 and size. But that is also nominal, depending on your alloy, they might drop smaller (or bigger) 454 works well in most uberti's but make sure it's soft lead.

If your barrel slugs 454 I would try a solid base bullet of soft lead to see how it works.

I think you'll find that RB is as accurate as conical. It certainly was for me with a .454 ball. They are much easier to load also. You should get a ring of lead come off as you ram them into the chamber.
