Connector Lock Pin removal

The lock pin will not budge.

Am I missing something here?

Need to swap out the stocker with a USGI Connector Lock and supplied Lock Pin.

I've always used a dremel to get it out.

Those chinese pins are tough!

Very, very hard! Most difficult to install a USGI pin into a Norc reciever, too! Must this operation really happen?

That USGI connector lock and it's retaining pin are hard. Might have to use a lathe (I only had a 3000 rpm hand drill F: ) so it took about an hour of turning to get the USGI pin to the dimension of the Norc receiver pin hole. Damn that was tough. One of these days, I gotta get me a lathe!

Well a Dremel and 2 minutes took care of the Lock Pin. Damn that was easy. NICE

On both my M14's I just grabbed the pin with a pair of needlenose vice grips and gave the vice grip a tap and no problem. On one of My guns the connector lock was real loose so I made one from 718 Inconel, so now it fits nice. They are 5mm if memory serves right.

Put the USGI Connector Lock in a drill chuck and went at it with a file until it fit.
