I know they released them for sale in the US, I was wondering when they will sell them in Canada? I need a scope for a new 7 rem mag and I'm interested in these. I haven't found anyplace that has them up here yet. I'm looking at the conquest hd5 in 3-15x42 with locking target turrets, the zeiss dialyt with a kenton turret in 3-12x50, the swaro z3 with brh in 4-12x50 or saving money for the vx6 cds in 3-18x50. I'm looking for the best value in this price range. I want to use it for hunting and mid range practice 600 to 700 at the furthest. Anybody got any info that can help me?

The turrets suck on the Z3. They're not even marked with any numbers, just the hash lines, the interchangeable color spacers were dumb. I bought one thinking it would be the last scope I would put on that gun... No longer have it. Even the glass and the eyebox were disappointing. The bushnell 4200 6-24 I had before it was almost as clear and bright. I was impressed looking through the conquest, and its cheaper.

DMS1 - Swarovski will now do a custom engraved turret - similar to Leupold's CDS - to replace the BT. I believe the US price is $99 + shipping. The main issue for longer range shooting with the Z3 and Z5 is relatively small amount of elevation available. IIRC the BT on my friend's Z3 will only get him out to about 675 yards or so (.300 WM with 200gr bullets). The VX6 has lots of elevaton per turn, so it would be better from that perspective. Also, the VX6 seems to be a but better optically than the Z3.

I can't say much about the Conquest HD, other than what I've heard from people who have looked through them at the trade shows south of the border. The consensus is that they are optically superior than the outgoing Conquest, and look similar to the VX6. They are quite heavy for a 1" tube with only a 42mm objective lens. I shoould mention that if weight is an issue then the Swarovski has the advantage. One more thing, the VX6 has a 30mm main tube.
