Conservation officers need help with B.C.'s bear problem

Not sure what I'm going to do with the heart and liver yet. That sausage above looks good!

We made pätê with the heart and liver, have to say it was even better than heart and liver pätê from deer or chickens that we make as well. It was soooooo good lol.

If the Province of BC wants to reduce the black bear population they should start by reducing the cost of a the tag. Why in the world does a BB tag cost 25% more than a deer tag?

That is a QUESTION i have wondered about too and NEVER being given any kind of a proper Educated answer ! RJ

While the NDP is in power we should make noise about getting tag and license sales set aside for conservation rather than general revenue, I bet nobody would have an issue with tag prices if it actually went to conservation.

Woodchopper, I'm not sure I have the balls to spear hunt a bear in general, and I definitely don't have the balls to become "that guy who spear hunted a bear in the middle of the city". I occasionally look at the big ass grey squirrels in my backyard and think about getting a good slingshot, but then I remember they are city squirrels...

Maybe they just need to have hunters on call with the CO's? Have the hunter shoot the bear, and have the COs there to make things safe? I call dibbs on the north part of Coquitlam lol
