Recently I purchased a varmint calibre rifle in 22 Hornet. I really like my Browning Micro Hunter A-Bolt rifle & I wonder what took me so long to discover this one!
What's not to like? Short 60 degree bolt throw, available in RH or LH, tang safety right there where it should be, three lug bolt design,
(just like my Wichita target rifle) so so easy to flip the bolt open & closed!!!! Light in weight, & easy to retrofit factory trigger spring with a Timney kit.
My one and only beef, is the not quite so quick reload, but hey, who cares I'm not hunting tigers with it?
Enjoy yours........I know I will enjoy mine! (I'm sure the X-Bolt is the further evolution of this handy rifle action)
PS: I did shoot many a deer with a Remington in 308, using 150 grain Silvertips or Core Lokts.
I believe in 11 years I harvested about 24 whitetails with it, and almost all were bang-flops.
