Recently came across a Lee-Enfield No.4 MK1 Rifle made by ROF Fazakerley (FTR) Dated 1942 with matching bolt & receiver, a 5 groove barrel, and a MKI rear sight. The rifles seems in top shape and is all matching except for the magazine, the owner is not budging from his 895$ asking price. Im not familiar with enfield's so I would like to know whether I'm getting a decent deal.

pretty much going rate. If pretty much original or issue. I recently saw a Lend lease rifle 1942 rifle marked US property in really nice condition for $795 at Cabela's. I didn't bite at the time, but someone I bet has a nice rifle.

A Long branch (Canadian built) are the only ones that seem to command that range (here in Canada). I think $600-$700 would be appropriate unless there was something else that marked it as rare. I would contact Corwin Arms and see if he has any kicking around - there are some MK III all matching there for ~$800 (some higher, some lower). He could also probably point you in the direction of where else you oculd find a Mk IV if that is what your heart is set on.
Because it's been rebuilt (FTR). Probably some replacement parts. May look like new but that doesn't mean top value as a collector piece. Personally I might consider that price for an apparent all original '42 Faz, even if in rough, well used condition.

We are completely out of Long Branch rifles and there is also nothing left where we got them from. They ranged in price from $795 to $1250 for very early production rifles, average price was $890.00. On the other hand Savage made rifles majority sold for $750. In Europe and in US Savage on other hand will bring more then Long Branch
