Constant eye relief scope, 5" range?

Help me out here guys!

I am looking for a variable power scope in the lower zoom range (like a 1-5 or 2-7) that has more eye relief than normal. I will be mounting it on a heavy hitter that needs the scope slightly forward of normal for action clearance. It must have constant eye relief, I hate scopes that change the eye relief when the zoom power setting is changed. 5" to 6" eye relief will work, 4" is a bit to little because then I have to slide my cheek up the stock to get a decent sight picture.

1" or 30mm doesn't really matter, but 1" is preferred as I already have 1" rings.

The only that I have experience with that has constant eye relief has too much magnification for your purpose, (and only 4" which is better than most) the Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 is a good quality scope.

how about a minox 1.5x8 36mm and a set of talley one piece rings. under your buget but only 4 inches of constant relief.

Thanks for the replies, it looks like what you have suggested is about all I can get for eye relief. I will look at both of these.

I haven't had the opportunity to try a Minox yet, would you consider them reliable?

so far i have three minox. the last two were 3x9. so far great prices and no issues. i'm mounting a 3x9 on my t3 338 to test durability. my 1.5x8 is on a light weight 338 06. time will tell how well they will last but the eye relief and optical clairity to me are great. i would rate the glass to be better than a vx2 and pretty close to my vx3. the only difference is i paid $330 for a 3x9 minox. a whole lot less than a vx3.

Handgun scopes have too much eye relief. Look around for scopes marketed as shotgun or muzzleloader scopes.

might want to look at the bushnell 6500 series 1.25-8x as I believe these have a 5 inch eye relief.

Swarovski Z6 1-6x24mm has 120mm of eye relief.

Burris 4x20mm Mini has 5" ER, I know they are my favorite do it all scopes.

I've got a Zeiss Duralyte 1.2-5 on my 375 and I haven't measured the eye relief but there is plenty of room for error

Try to find a used Burris " compact " scope.... they were available in 1" tubes and were vari powered 3 - 9 .... excellant long eye relief.

Long eye relief and extremely rugged.

Could always look at getting a scout scope as well. Think the eye relief on those is in the 8-10" range.

Bought 4 while they had the sale of the century at Le Baron 15% +no tax @ 375.00 minus 75.00 each rebate from Bushnell, i confirm they have tru the setting from 5.5 to 6 inch of eye relief, they have become one of my favorite... JP.
