What Is a Cease & Desist Letter?

A Cease & Desist Letter is often times the first step to asking an individual, or a business, to stop an illegal activity. The purpose of the letter is to threaten further legal action if the behavior does not stop.

i dont recall asking for information in regarding contacting someone from a company being illegal

@ stokes22 you might want to read the first post

oh no, some ones posted some supposed legalese on a site they illegally accessed to do so. I feel another :ban: for another fake account coming and some potential akwardness later..

:popCorn:Dont think its the guys from the other night. At the very least this one knows about spell check.

Not really sure what Mr Paralegal wants CGN's to do. This is a open forum, one CWA used to exploit "customers".

On a side note how does one find the little Popcorn emotioncon guy.

CWA provide your contact info for the OP and move on.. PERIOD. When the OP responds he has your done your duty to him/her. As far as here goes well the community is tight as you can see, screw one, screw all. You could have resolved the one missing ammo issue and been done with it but you posted private information for all to see. That by itself goes beyond any cardinal rule of trust.

Your company deserves a a permant sticky on this forum as a warning for all future members. For now, simple ridicule is all your fellow community members can deliver. I hope the person who's information you shared maliciously takes your company for what its worth because he could and should.

I wonder if the new rules of CGN will now mention "any mention of 'The Company We Don't Speak Of' will lead to an immediate ban."

@op: you can probably try the coordinate (phone number and mail address) in the whois record of the domain.

edit: there has been no private information disclosed in this message, the whois domain name database is public.

I bet CGN is shaking in their boots that they posted that warning 3 times for us. What are they gonna do sue the owner of the site over users speaking about their real experiences with a company. I am afraid very afraid.
