I'm trying to find a 3 way butt assembly. Can't get a response from their E-mail and their mail box is always full. Is 613 228 7543 their current contact number?

update

They are shut down for a bit, they had some problems gettings parts form some sub-suppliers, they do not have any 3 way butt assemblies in stock that I know of, they are getting an inventory list put together, they have not had time to get back to people lately,

Robertsons have "credited" some individuals who prepaid for work which was not completed and for items ordered but not delivered....I believe the company may be in recievership. It is my understanding that Ian was/is no longer the major shareholder so had little control over the unfortunate situation. I hope Robertsons Composites get beyond their "troubles" and that Ian gets back into the stock business. No doubt in my mind that Ian has a fine reputation for good reason and I hope to do business with him again...soon!

Nnnnnooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

Stupid procrastination....knew I should have bought the other stock I wanted for my 6mmBR last spring when I bought one.

Hope it's just a rumor.

:mad:I'm very sorry to hear about their problems. I suppose I'll have to go south for a 3 way butt assembly. Robertson's looked simple and light.

Ian is one of the most stand up guys you will ever meet, and do business with, I had hoped not to have had to post on this,
yes deposits were returned, that is also why I posted my somewhat difficult (for some) to understand thread on finding a TAC stock (that I had ordered and was misplaced in the grand sceme of things) ,
I also heard they told some people they were shut down for hunting season,

anyway as before the folks they got some parts from (perhaps trigger guards, butt plates, rails and os on got naothre large contract and let the robertson stuff not get made and shipped so they had a bit of a difficulty finishing stocks)

we will know more in 30 days, there are things in the works that may help, and we wait and see,

once again Ian is one of the GOOD GUYS AND SHALL ALWAYS REMAIN SO.

Thanks for the update Jefferson. Keep us posted.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ian once. I was in his area a few years back, on a Sunday, so I called him and asked if I could come by his shop. He was at home at the time but drove out to meet me and gave my friend and I a tour of his facility and spent over an hour with us. He truly is a great guy.

I have 4 of their stocks. The first 2 I bought( a few years ago) when just Ian and Kelly ran the place. The stocks were excellent( correction, PERFECT) and the guns put together exactly as I had ordered.I paid top dollar but I got a very very high quality product and exactly what I wanted.Infact, I can honestly say they exceeded all expectations.I also can't speak highly enough of Ian and Kelly. I hope to see business back to usual in the near future....

WTF...I'm in $500 on a stock I ordered a few weeks ago. Haven't heard anything from them since Sept 29 when the young lady from their office contacted me with a question about what trigger guard I was going to be using.

Just checked my CC statement and it looks like the cash has been refunded...would have been nice to have had a phone call regarding them not holding up their end of the deal as my action is probably on it's way to them as I type this.

If Ian is such a stand up guy, when things get straightened out, he damn well better make this right!!

hey coyotekiller 82 (nice name as it kind of suits your personality doesn't it)

1. you got your deposit back good

2. if they are returning deposits to everyone they can they just do not have time to call people and explain the last 2 years of thier lives and the internal workings of the company (besides it is none of your dammmm business)

3. Ian is not the majority shareholder so it is doubtful he could "dammm well make it right" and what would you do about it, big guy !

4. come to your senses, call up any other gunstore and see how far you get with your attitude, as an individual you have little control of what a corporation does,

and

trust me and others if Ian had his way every order would have been filled,

maybe find out who their supplier is of parts for rails, trigger guards and so on ,

then yell at them and visit their shop as perhaps that is why they could not finish your stock, and let me know I want to watch your performance

geeesh, and I do not wonder why I don't sell a product to the masses,,,,,,,,

Unless your speaking for the company, which I seriously doubt you are, then I suggest you STFU. Just because your deal was ####ed-up doesn't make you an authority on the business matters of that company. Nor do you have a right to belittle a guy who has obviously been done wrong. I can't blame the guy for being upset. I would be too.

Careful...

I have heard that the company is reorganizing and one of the items they are looking into is new management. I am sure they will be able to resolve any issues and the company will be back on track in no time.

Careful...

Of what? Jefferson comes on here airing all the possible dirt on Robertson's and then comes accross as mean spirited to a customer of the business who was not owed the common courtesy of a phone call indicating that his order would not be filled.

If I was Ian Robertson or coyotekiller82 I don't think I'd care for what he's posted in this thread.

Under the circumstances, I would have thought Jefferson would be empathetic as he himself was a victim of poor customer service of the company of no fault of his own.

Apparently not.

This is bad news for Canadian and USA shooters as I understand the majority of their stocks were exported to the US.

However having dealt with Robertson over the past 3 years on 2 big purchases this news does not surprise me.

All the best to them and hopefully they can sort it out.
