Contacts for 3 gun Vancouver Island

I recently got myself kit out for 3 gun, and would like to start shooting matches. Who is a good contact on Vancouver Island to get started?

The league I belong to (ISLBC) shoots 3 gun in Victoria and Nanaimo. They require that you hold some type of coursing though, if you don't have Black Badge they required coursing is available at Victoria Fish and Game but I don't know if they have similar courses in Nanaimo. Courses include holster training and a Action Shooting safety course.

They might grant you the Holster training equivalent because of this. If you talk to Kevin he likely has the authority to say.

Actually there are 7 IPSC style pistol matches this year with the first one in Victoria this Sunday.
There is an active 3 Gun section in Campbell River the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month.

I think he was talking about the ISL 3gun matches only. There is four scheduled but one is tentative and only one is in Nanaimo this year. The first one is June 25th in Victoria, the second is July 16th in Nanaimo.

Do you have to be a Campbell River club member to do those local matches?

Not necessary to be a CR club member but I believe they charge a guest fee for the day.
