Contender 375 Winchester loads

Wondering what other people are loading for cast bullets in their 375 Winchester contenders. I am currently load with two cast bullets an old 250 gr Winchester mould and Lyman 335. So far I have tried 27 to 29 grs of IMR 4198 under both bullets. I size to 0.378. Benched I can hit a 2 in gong constantly so I know my loads work well. Anyone else crazy enough to shoot one a 375 contender pistol.

I am into T/C Contender carbines my first adventure into the 375 Win world was a 21" stainless factory medium tapered barrel only loads I worked up were with 220gr JFP bullets at 2050fps it was fun but I always felt I wanted more so I sent the barrel to SSK Ind and had JD rechamber it to 375JDJ my out to 300 yard hunt anything load is 260gr Accubonds @ 2300fps.

I next purchased a 14" SSK Ind barrel in 375JDJ loaded this with either Hornady 220gr JFP or 225gr JSP bullets @ 2200fps.

I then found another T/C Contender stainless 21" medium tapered 375 Win barrel and bought new dies and new 38-55 short brass I haven't had time to load for it yet though.

I'm really not interested in loading heavier cast bullets in the 375 Win I would be interested if I could get my hands onto some 230gr cast though.

I have found some data on 375 Winchester loads. I found a nice load of 27 grs IMR 4198 with cast 255 gr very well out to a hundred meters. Was doing a little more load development with the 335 cast, after 30 rounds my wrists feel it.

I scored a box of 100 discontinued 220gr Hornady jacketed flat points on Sunday now have 219 of them will get onto loading them for the 375 Win barrel right away now.
