I have a VCAS sling set aside for the winning idea.

We are moving the store and the contractors have put in a new door for us on the first floor.

Due to the construction of the building, and the way I wanted the door to go in, it has left a sort of a "cubby hole" indent across from our entry door.

So I am looking for ideas of what to do with it.

I have already looked into a pop machine/Red Bull/Monster sort of thing as well as a display case (so if you come up with that idea you don't get the sling).

Here is the catch, it's in the common area open to all clients of the building even when we are closed.

It can't be easy or worthwhile to steal and it can't be posters of guns/soldiers etc.

I will put a picture of the space up later.

popcorn machine, everyone loves the smell of popcorn!

-Jukebox
-Wall safe containing a sling that people have to guess the code. Or they get 1 number with ever purchase of $250 so it takes $750 to get all the winning numbers.
-Murphy bed
-Coffee Machine
-Animal Cage/Fish Tank
-Internet Terminal that only browses CGN and OST's websites!
-ATM

Alright, here's my thinking:

1 - A corkboard/bulletin board is always popular in high-traffic areas; people will put up event posters, WTS/WTB ads, rental ads, etc. Provides a great place for you to put up a weekly flyer with in-store specials, right there in living color.

2 - A coffee machine of some type is usually a hit. A sticker with something such as "compliments of One Shot Tactical" couldn't hurt the 'neighborly' feeling or rapport with customers.

3 - Having just a plain table, perhaps below the corkboard, with space for a magazine/catalog rack might be good. Perhaps invite your local "rag" to stock some papers there - we have three free papers in Edmonton that do this in a lot of bars/restaurants (Metro - news; See and Vue Weekly - entertainment papers).

Whatever the case, you may want to see about getting an overhead light in the space - just to make it a little less 'shadowed' outside your door.

Oh, and if you can fit one outside your entry door, a "One Shot Tactical" doormat would be a nice touch!

You should have a guy in a gorilla suit that jumps out at people as they enter the door.

Silent Scope video game, or a throwback Operation Wolf game :)

Or any other video game. It makes you money, and it's fun!

How about a donation box for "Soldier On" bolted to the wall, you know, mail box or amnesty-box style?

In conjunction with a corkboard for ads relating to your business and the interests of people who shop at OST?

A full sized cut out of Allan Rock:kickInTheNuts:
It will get people talking, and nobody will steal it:rolleyes:
If not that how about a fish tank??

Actually considering some of the other suggestions a plastic plant might be the best yet :D

However my wife likes the Gorilla and wack-a-mole suggestion :D

Illegal Rooster Fighting Area?

Gloryhole?

What about a In The Line of Duty Area, with pictures and memorials of fallen soldiers and like Deuce said have a donation box set out in it.

Massive Rodent City. With 14 levels of Gerbil fury.

How about a drop off area for canned and dry goods for the local food bank, great chance for P.R in the paper " local business helps homeless " stop by One Shot Tactical Supply to donate.
