Continent wide one day groundhawg hunt on Tuesday?

Yeah I might drag a rifle and camera out after work a couple days this week. From what I read they will be out for around a week or so before going back to sleep for a few more weeks.

Has anyone actually been able to connect with a ground hog in February before? I have never noticed them out before, then again I have never looked either.

Hey CanuckR~a buddy of mine (who lives near where I hunt) has shot them as early as March.2. They may even come up sooner, but he was out coyote hunting and one emerged through the snow. I'll dee if I can dig-up the photo he sent.
