My wife was standing in line at Canadian Tire buying her license a couple years back and the guy in front of her told the clerk he had shot a deer and was coming to buy his license.

She called the MNR Tips line and the local CO called her back for more info within minutes.

Awesome, happy to hear i can still hunt this fall. Why would i need a seal and a tag? Arent they the same thing?
Whats the cost for an antlered deer seal and tag?

You seal your deer harvest with your tag... Buck tags go around an antler... Antlerless through the ear I think? ( used to have to shove a metal wire through the nose cartilage....looked like hell) online or by phone $ 52.00 and change I believe ?

Im not sure that you understand what anterless means....

Not sure what you're getting at, but just because it says antlerless it doesn't mean you can only shoot a dear without antlers.

Your deer permit consists of 2 parts. One is the license, it has your name, and outdoor card number on it. Along with a serial number. The other is the seal. It has all the info as your license, along with months, days and hours. You notch your date and time of the kill on the seal. Then you remove the seal (it is a giant sticker), and you affix it to the antler of your deer.

The top portion is the license, the bottom is the seal. The instructions are printed on the permit. If you are stopped by the police or a CO they will verify that the info on the seal matches the license.
