Are the CZ 550 actions cast like the Rugers or forged like the remingtons?
Are the CZ a fairly safe action in case of failure? I like the look of them and alot of you have recomended them.

The BRNO's are forged, not sure about the 550's.

Frank de Haas thought very highly of the BRNO 600 standard length action and the BRNO 602 magnum length action.

Ruger 77 or Win M70 CFC actions are fine by me

As far as new rifles I have an M 70 Classic and a CZ 550 magnum, both very well made, good shooters, and for me "fit" right. I like but do not have personal experience with the Ruger 77mkII's and the Reminton 798's (Zastavia).

As far as used rifles the various later versions of the 98 Mauser are often fine rifles. I have a 59 fn Browning that is remarkably well made and extremely accurate.
