conversion cylinders

I would like to buy a Walker replica and a conversion cylinder for it, there is no problem finding a retailer for the Walker but I didn't found a retailer for a conversion cylinder in Canada, any ideal you sell those conversion cylinder?

All the conversions I have found have been south of the border,I have had no problems importing these.

You imported those conversion cylinders from who? is there any problem with canadian customs because it's over the $100 limit without importation permit & paper....more info please!

Is it necessary to change the hammer as well?

I imported mine from Ned Buckshot's wildwest. Here is the address http:www.buckshotswildwest.com .I had no trouble at the border however I was charged tax or duty one of the two. The hammer does not have to be changed so you can simply slip your black powder cylinder back in if you wish to shoot black powder. They recommend grinding a bit of the frame away to allow you to load the cylinder without having to take the barrel off. I would not recommend this though I believe it weakens the frame some what and takes away from the look of the gun alot. I find it doesn't take much to slide the barrel off when I what to reload the cylinder. Hope this helps.

Sorry about the question above. I have since looked at a few examples via internet pictures and see they come with a "plate" which holds the firing pins. I had been wondering how the flat hammer of a cap and ball would strike the primer. A friend used to have an original Colt with conversion but I never did look at the hammer, firing pin arrangement.

No problem, I've seen older style converions where every cylinder had it's own firing pin and it was all one piece, this could have been what you seen.
