I wanted to ask if anyone knows the legal of a few conversion items; the "Geissele Super-Semiautomatic Trigger", the "Tac-Con 3MR Trigger" and the "JNCM (or) FSSG Glock DIAS" (drop-in auto sear).

or the triggers, can they be installed here in Canada? And as for the sear, while I doubt they can be installed, I see in the states they can be purchased incomplete, similar to an incomplete lower receiver, is that the same here? Incomplete, it's just a hacked-up little block of aluminum with some other odd bits.

Thanks

(I tried searching around, but couldn't find any related threads)

The "Tac-Con 3MR Trigger" is an assisted reset semi-automatic trigger, and must be pulled for each shot in order for a shot to be fired. It does not require you to release and reset the trigger, but does require a distinct pull for each shot fired and thus should be completely legal for sale and use in Canada.

The "Geissele Super-Semiautomatic Trigger" is just a two stage battle trigger. Absolutely nothing remarkable (legally) about it. It is treated no different that any other available AR15 trigger on the market.

The Glock Drop in auto sear is exactly that, a fully automatic conversion of a glock pistol. Such a device is prohibited and will land you an extended vacation courtesy of the government.

Hope that helps.

Uh... yeah, thanks... er, you're not stalking me, are you?

Anyway... has this item been specifically identified as prohibited? I get that installing it will land you in trouble, but what about mere possession? Or, possession of an incomplete one?

For the record: this is just curiosity, stemming from a conversation among my friends and I last night. I'm just looking for answers for when we get back together tomorrow.

I don't even own a Glock and never will. I don't like them. /fyi

I couldn't care less who is posting but I will attempt to contribute my knowledge to the best of my abilities. If the subject is interesting and warrants farther investigation beyond the knowledge I already have, I delve into it to try and find the information that others seek. It is very difficult for most people to navigate the labyrinth that is Canadian firearms law, but I take the time to do so and deliver my findings and opinions on the subject. I can't for the life of me figure out why you have such distaste and disregard for what I write; just because you don't like the conclusions I have written does not make them wrong.

I like ice cream.

But not responses to inquiries? The info you seek is not secretive, but can take some serious work to find. By asking here, you're skipping the work because other folks have already done it...other sites call it spoon-feeding, but hey we are usually a warm community here that do try to help each other. I've been lucky enough to not just share my knowledge, but have it enhanced by other members (and blastattack is great for sharing knowledge).

I'm curious why you wouldn't want your question answered? If you're incapable of doing your own research, and feel stalked when your inquiry is answered properly in an open forum, then you might better stick to ice cream.

Maybe I should have posted;

"Thanks for the info. By the way, I like ice cream"

That way, I would've shown appreciation and, just like the previous response, I would have posted something relevant and then followed it with something needless and off-track as well.

As I tried explaining, I was involved in a conversation (debate, really) about whether or not mere possession of a DIAS would be illegal, even the incomplete ones they legally sell online in the U.S. That's all I really need to know to now. As for the triggers, thanks foe the opinion, but does anyone know if they've actually been approved for use here? And better yet, used here?

Thanks
