Convert PP and Luger 08 to Restricted

A change to a 9mm Kurtz (.380) barrel would be required. I know it's quite easily done with FN1922's
Its a lot of work for the PP, and the results are spotty. Some guns work, some have constant feed problems. Epps did a conversion, called 30 Reid(I believe) it was literally a necked down 32acp to 30 cal. All that was needed was re barreling. Only wrinkle is that it's a reloading cartridge only. I think they had Redding make custom dies for them in that caliber, but I've heard they work quite nice
So, not as simple with a PP as the FN? The PP was made in .380 wasn't it?
It was, but it's a different slide. To convert a 32 to .380 the extractor needs to be modified, and if I recall the bolt face may need enlarged a bit and some work done on the ejector. It's been done, but is quite expensive and sometimes they work great and sometimes no amount of tweaking can get them to run right. A slide swap might work, but you may still need to modify the ejector because of the larger diameter of the .380 case.
I think there is one or was listed in the EE at some strange price. I just don't see the cost benefit to do it, but I can buy the originals , so I could be a bit biased
I picked up a nice post war one ,PP, with all the papers, and kit in the box not long ago for under 300.oo
If you want something, look for a browning 1922 in 380cal. and you are good to go.
P.S. I know of a luger a fellow just had converted, he got a barrel from the US, 100.oo he said , new 6 inch.
But the gunsmith that did it had a hell of a time indexing it and getting to feed, changed the mag out and that helped, he said that he hatted the job.
It will not cycle standard ammo, he has to load a bit hotter. The job was 300.oo, this is a mismatch gun , so that could have been the problem .
Re reading your post ,I just figured out you do have 12-6 so forget the browning thing.
