hey, im wondering how hard it would be to convert a g22 .40sw to run 9mm, like a g17? i would rather just have a g17 but as things worked out i ended up with a decent g22 but i would way rather use 9mm for it. also open to trade for a g17 if anyone is interested? thanks!

New barrel, new slide assembly(?), new mag, new ejector...maybe a few other parts, these are the ones just off the top of my head.

How hard? Easy!
The 22 and 17 are basically the same gun, except the 22 has one more pin in the frame for strength. 9mm conversion barrels are available to drop into a G22 and the 9mm mags are the same external size, so they drop in too.
An added benefit is that your .40 cal Glock mags will hold 12 rounds of 9mm and feed fairly well, and it's legal to do it!
I have the Glock 22, 9mm conversion barrel and it works very well. I find that the 9mm mags feed 100% while 9mm in the .40 cal mags have occaisional hiccups. So keep you G22 and just buy a second barrel.

I have a Lone wolf conversion barrel which works great (with 9mm mags). I also have a G17 upper and it runs great as well.

Pretty sure G22 and G17 frames are identical.

Lone wolf barrel for conversion from .40 - 9mm, that is all you need. No need to change extractor or slide assembly, you can even use your Glock 22 mags if you'd like, or buy some Glock 17 mags, they will fit without issue. I use this set up every time I go to the range.

Lots of wrong info here. The 22 ejector will work but you could change it out for a 17 one. The extractors and exactly the same. 22 mags don't work so well for 9mm and I would recommend 17 mags. As for frames they all come with 3 pins now. Late Gen 2 g22 guns started coming out with 3 pins then glock decided to do it for all guns.

Run the conversion barrel with 17 mags and have fun.

x2..lots of misleading info posted here.

I have run a Glock 22 Gen 3 RTF2 with a Lone Wolf 40-9 barrel since they came out a few years ago. I've changed out no other parts. I do use Glock 9mm mags. Never had a problem regardless of the ammo.

I also swap out the .40 cal barrel for a Glock .357SIG barrel and load up .357SIG in Glock .40cal mags. Runs beautifully in the Glock 22.

Very interest to know whether G20 (10mm) mags can use in G21 (45 acp) gun, It may only put 9 rounds 45acp , but I save some mags if I buy G21.
